Last summer, I gave Marisol Nichols a large gold Jizo with a precious stone to light her way. It is always an honor to give one of my Jizos, designed to help one practice meditation, to someone who I know will cherish it. My wish is to give everyone a beautiful piece of inner peace.
Her eyes warmed as she promised me she would wear and cherish it. Known for her work on “24” and “The Gates” Marisol just signed to do the edgy Darren Star pilot for ABC, “Good Christian Bitches.” (I have heard that the show’s name has already been changed to make peace with the network: “GWB”)

I have known of Jizo for many years. I’m a psychotherapist who has worked with people who have had a pregnancy loss, abortion, or a newborn death. Jizo has been a reminder and protector of the those babies, bringing comfort to the parents. But I think we all need to have the feeling that we are being cared for and protected, even when we need to provide it for ourselves. I have recently purchased two Little Jizos for a friend and her daughter, who are going through a serious health crisis. The Little Jizos are precious. Now I want one for myself.
